music / stereo: push power to turn on the receiver. To stream music from your phone-> turn the knob on the receiver to AUX. Go to Bluetooth settings on your phone and connect to HK BTA 10 go to your music on your device and stream (every time you turn off the receiver you must re pair your phone. only 1 phone can have bluetooth enabled at a time. disconnect from one device to enable the system to pair with another device) To listen to records -> turn the knob to PHONo. please make sure to turn off the receiver after every use to preserve this vintage equipment.
Stove / oven: for the stove:push in dial and while dial is pushed In turn to high, burners will make clicking sound. Once burner is lit, release dial and slowly turn to desired heat. for the oven: best practice is to let oven preheat. To start, open the oven door while you are igniting it, push in dial and oven will make clicking sound, once fan goes on in the oven, release & turn to desired temperature. Note: the gauge on the front of the stove isn’t accurate. the oven is about 50 degree or so hotter than indicated on the front gauge and inner gauge.
Air conditioning: So that the A/C system doesn’t freeze up the A/C should not be turned colder than 70 degrees.
grilling: Please make sure to turn off the propane and clean the grill after use. There is an extra propane tank in the shed.
fire pit: There is firewood to the right of the garage for the fire pit. Matches are in the island kitchen cabinets. make sure the fire is out before going to bed.
bugs/ Ticks: we have the house professionally cleaned between guests. However, since the house is in the country bugs sometimes show up inside (sorry!) Please check yourself for ticks before you come inside.
Septic: The house is on a septic system. Please DO NOT throw anything down the toilet other than toilet paper [no paper towels + no feminine products]. DO NOT pour grease down the sink.
garbage: Please bring your garbage and recycling to the shed and make sure the trash cans are closed securely. There are heavy duty trash bags to tie everything up. make sure the door to the shed is closed. We don’t want any animals getting inside.
Smoking: there is no smoking permitted inside the house.
Security & entry: There is keyless entry on the front door. To leave the house and lock: put 2 fingers over the front of the lock and then you will hear the front door deadbolt engage. Please keep the glass sliding door and the lower level side door locked when you leave. make sure if you are leaving the house all windows and doors are closed and locked to maintain security and to prevent any rain or water damage to the property. Please note: the property has three outdoor security cameras. One facing the front driveway, one facing the side property, and one overlooking the rear deck.
Misc: There is a fire extinguisher on the countertop to the left of the stove. There is a first aid kit on the wall next to the sink in the first floor bathroom. In case you hear something, every Wednesday at 12:00pm the Generator runs a 10 minute test. feel free to water the plants if they look thirsty:)
